"I have always been interested in the mysteries of life and finding the true essence of that life. When photographing reflections in water, I
am intrigued by the dichotomy of captured movement – object, shadows and colors unite to create new life, new energy, and possibly an
alternate reality without manipulating the image by computer programs. The water is my canvas and the movement of the water is the
brush that stokes the reflected image to create a ‘photographic painting.’ "
Betty Scott Owen is a native and resident of Norfolk, Virginia. She decided to leave the corporate world of structure and organization to
follow the path less traveled to explore yet another “world” - one filled with “reflections.”
