Livia Ayal
Livia's aim in her paintings is to try to capture the beauty of nature and the human face in its special moment of light and
expression. She prefers nature in its wild, untouched form, as in her paintings : 'Early October' and 'Rock Formation' ,
but was also inspired by what she saw in the Botanic Garden of the Chicago area. She also loves to paint portraits of
people close to her, or of one's that interest her. She has won several awards for her art and her portrait of Zoltan Kodaly,
the composer, was published on the cover of the 'American Music Teacher' in 1984.
Livia is also a professional pianist and teacher.
