Carol James

My current work embodies both the breathtaking landscapes with which we have long been familiar and the challenges
they face.  A close look reveals the threat to our planet, the dark cloud of impending doom, the presence of Spirit or
guardians, scavengers awaiting the carcass.  The medium is encaustics, the "burning in" of pigmented beeswax onto a
chosen canvas.

The artists of the world are "center stage" and, as such, are looked upon for the beauty and inspiration they are able to
create.  As an artist, a "beachcomber", I feel compelled to pick up that tidbit off the tide line that needs sharing with the
world and hope that my chosen message will prompt creative thought . . . that others might be empowered by the tale I
have to tell.
