Nikki Coulombe
All works of Art evolve through individual stages and changes, presenting unique goals with distinctive sets of decisions
to make along the way. The outcome, regardless of media, is a combination of analytical assessments alongside
intuitive responses to a subject, and varying degrees of attention focused on either one will change the results,
sometimes dramatically.
I've been documenting recent work at various stages of development, and evaluating the creative process as it unfolds.
I've found that when uninhibited by set expectations for certain results, there is always room to change and improve the
work. I'm most comfortable using acrylics and oil pastels, but do not limit the means to expression. Individual pieces
may vary greatly in appearance, but that is the point; the work as a whole supports larger objectives that emphasize and
define creativity in general.
