Alan Tarbell

A love of nature, culture and travel inspire my work, while a keen interest in holistic medicine, balance related activities, and
musical rhythms fuel recurring themes from which I seek metaphorically to weave my work. Through my personal
expression of art, I attempt to expand the consciousness of the viewer of our relationship to our surroundings: not only
environmentally, but culturally. I seek to create a visual statement that provides coherence between what sometimes seems
so severed in our shrinking global society.I want to communicate a resonant message that allows the viewer to find a
deeper relationship to the self and to the environment.  Natural materials are woven into the work to create an expansive
visual conversation, ideally leading toward conscious growth.
