Katherine Holloway
There is such wonderment in life; it is this that I wish to express: the sensations, interpretations, and inspirations from
reality. By layering my canvasses before I paint, I create a convoluted surface representing the intricacies we face in our
lifetimes. I love color, and I try to experiment with it. I limit myself to three basic colors for each work, challenging my
creativity to extract the exact colors I want to portray from each limited palette.
I hope viewers of my art assimilate the activity of the colors, the textures of the work, and the assertiveness of the paint
itself. I would like them to experience new sensations as they observe the pieces. I hope to continue to grow and
develop better techniques to allow me to represent what I experience in life.
