Sometimes just the challenge of painting in the ancient medium of Egg Tempera is my motivation! I love
that connection to the past. Starting from scratch and mixing pigments with yolk. Inspiration comes from
many different sources. Nature, politics, world events. my family, anything from a museum visit to sitting
by a pond. Also, different periods inspire me. Including the Pre-Raphaelites, Maxfield Parrish, Robert
Vickery and Michael Parkes.
While I tell a story or make a statement, sometimes I’ll twist reality and add a little magic. However, it's all
in the viewer’s interpretation!
