For many years I have worked in three-dimensional painting around the human form.
After a time this work led me to the creation of my Tattoo pieces. I have found in this medium an opportunity of
expression that was not available to me in painting or sculpture alone. Ink on skin seems to me to be a declaration, a
commitment, a celebration and often a voice when there is no voice. It is our “handprint” on our most interior walls.
