DECORATIVE ARTS; FINE ARTS
The American Juried Art Salon (AJAS) sponsors 3 juried
shows a year which are hosted by ArtJury.com. Two
shows are designed for artists working in the Fine Arts,
and one show is designed for those working in the
Decorative Arts.
The type art you wish to enter depends on the medium.
The Fine Arts include painting, drawing, photography,
and non animated sculpture These generally have the
important function of being viewed; art for its own sake.
This jury includes well known college and university art
professors and museum curators.
The Decorative Arts is a traditional term for a number of
arts and crafts used for making ornamental and functional
works in a great range of materials that include ceramic,
glass, metal, wood, textiles and many others. Fine Arts
also fit into this category. This jury includes directors and
curators of major American art museums.

Which juried exhibition should you enter?
If you are interested in receiving scored jury feedback
about your Fine Arts or Decorative Arts entries from
degreed art professionals, then you should consider
entering any of our shows. Acceptance into these shows
could very well set you on a course toward professional
status by participating in our Art Masters Program. It's a
pretty neat way to obtain an affordable dedicated page
on our site so that you don't have to pay the high costs
associated with maintaining your own website.
The Decorative Arts venue includes work done in any
medium including the fine arts. We recommend that all
our Master Plus artists working in Fine Arts participate in
the Decorative Arts show because of its wider artistic
inclusion.
If you are unsure of which show to enter, feel free to
contact us by email.
